Kevin Kelpin, aka American indie pop artist Franklin Manor, was established in 2014. Delivering a unique blend of piano, synthesizers, and thought-provoking lyrics, FM’s debut album “Motive” was released in 2015 followed by their first international tour in Japan. In 2018 they released the hard-hitting “Time and Space” EP finding its way on to LA’s biggest radio stations. Originally formed in Hollywood, FM is most known for performing on the world-famous stages of The Roxy, Whisky A Go-Go, and House Of Blues on Sunset Strip.

Founding member, Kevin, was born and raised in Colorado. With his legs barely able to touch the piano pedals, he began his journey in classical training. Studying and performing in national piano guild auditions throughout his childhood was just the beginning of a life long musical career. It wasn’t until age 15 that he discovered his true passion for music, playing and singing Elton John songs from a sheet music book that was gifted to him.

“It opened the flood gates for a new way of perceiving music, and ultimately became my calling for creative expression. I discovered a voice that hadn't been unleashed yet, and it forever altered the course of my life.” Kevin states.

After performing in bars and clubs for most of his adolescence, he took off to California at the age of 19 to pursue his dreams full-on, forming several bands before planting his flag as Franklin Manor. The inspiration for FM was created during his time at Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, CA where he lived in a shoebox apartment (that inspired the name Franklin Manor), where the first members came together, and nightly parties became a common occurrence. With FM leading the charge, the Sunset Blvd. show rallies began.

After gaining momentum on the Hollywood scene, Franklin Manor joined forces with a Grammy Award-winning producer/engineer to begin work on their first debut LP “Motive.” This lead them to their first tour of Japan in 2015 where they were well received in an international market. Then in 2016, FM established a cooperative working relationship with long-time Artist/Producer Roman Marisak, in which they embarked on a whole new musical journey, ultimately becoming the new sound of Franklin Manor. The “Time and space” EP (2018) was a first glimpse of what’s possible for FM, creating a unique indie-pop sound.

Currently, the new single “BELIEVE” is the most experimental piece of this new electronic sound and an accurate glimpse of what lies ahead for Franklin Manor (2019).
